Recycled stools in London

In apartment in London I change the look of the furniture in dining room.

For the series of stools I took an inspiration from the London tube map. I paint the stools in the colors of metro lines: yellow, red, blue and gray – those lines which are used often by the owners of the flat. In those maps I added pictures of Sławek Kozdras – one of the owners – who made them in London. The pictures shows famous places in London.

Recycled furniture in London

For an apartment in London I change the look of the furniture in dining room: a wooden table, 4 stools and 2 chairs.  In the table I used old Polish newspapers called “Szpilki” and “ Dookoła świata”, mostly from 60’s. I decided to leave some parts of the table untouched, so the wood can be seen. In the “Paris” chair I used the poster designed by Joanna Górska and Jerzy Skakun for the Bernardo Bertolucci film “The last tango in Paris”. In the pink and blue chair I incorporate some newspaper pieces, so the letters fit well to the blue color used in the chair.
